Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment Ends March 31, 2014—ARE YOU COVERED?
Waterloo, IA: Did you know the Affordable Care Act law is now in effect? Did you know that Operation Threshold staff can help you learn about the new law?
Under the Affordable Care Act, starting in 2014, every individual must have Minimum Essential Health Care Coverage or Pay a Tax Penalty. Starting October 1, 2013, through March 31, 2014, you can apply and enroll for health coverage through HealthCare.gov marketplace. On the website, you can apply and compare your options, and find out if you can get a lower cost on your monthly premiums or may be eligible for free or low-cost coverage.
For details on whether you qualify, please visit HealthCare.gov to find a local Navigator or Certified Application Counselor in our area. You may also contact the State of Iowa DHS Contact Center at dhsservices.iowa.gov or 1-855-889-7985.
