Operation Threshold’s Independence office will be moving to a new location at 1827 1st Street West, Independence.

In order to complete the move, the office will be closed on Tuesday, August 11th and Friday, August 14th.   The office may also be closed Monday, August 17th, depending on the availability of equipment and network services. Monday hours, if any will be posted at the new site.  Operation Threshold will begin offering full services at the new location as of 8:00 am, Tuesday, August 18, 2015.  All services will be offered at the new site.

County Coordinator Brenda Curry-Thompson stated “While it is hard to leave a site we’ve been at for so many years, we are excited about our new location and the space available to provide services to our clients”.

Operation Threshold provides a number of services to residents of Buchanan County. Services provided out of the Independence office include Energy Assistance (LIHEAP), Crisis Assistance, WIC, Nest Program, Early Head Start, HOPES, Crisis Childcare, Partners for Healthy Families, Buchanan County Parent Education and Family Development Self-Sufficiency Services. Operation Threshold also continues to offer the HOPES parent education and Crisis Child Care programming previously offered by Volunteer Co-op.
